Bob Ross® hosts the most popular T.V. art series in the world with over 22 million viewers per week.
Most people know him as the guy with the fuzzy hair that paints those happy little trees.
Bob passed away in 1995 after filming over 400 shows which he and the company that bears his name today donate to PBS stations all over the world.
Thankfully Bob had the foresight to create a platform to train and certify Instructors to teach the method of wet-on-wet painting that he made popular on his T.V. show,
"The Joy of Painting ®."
At "Wet on Wet Step-by-Step© workshops, Certified Ross Instructor ®, John Blackmore has been sharing Bob Ross's methods and techniques with hundreds of students ever since 1995. John is joined by fellow instructor Bruce Stanton conducting classes on a regular basis in a number of cities on beautiful Vancouver Island. What a wonderful place to paint the mountain and seascapes that Bob himself loved to paint as homage to his home of many years in Alaska. In addition, John is actively involved in sharing his talent by performing numerous community-based painting demonstrations. If you think the T.V. series is fun to watch, you should see a live demonstration. "Mesmerizing" was a word that a participant used to describe a recent event.
Bob Ross® taught us that people can express themselves with the right tools and a little instruction. It is John's goal at every class to prove Bob Ross® right. At the end of the day everyone has created a completed oil painting on canvas and takes it home to share and enjoy.
Wonderment exists in students of all ages, not just the young. Students in the classes have ranged in age from 9 to 93 have found this is to be clearly true.
